Kelo-Cote Scar Gel - 15g

What it is:  An odourless silicone gel  designed to reduce the appearance of scars.

What it does: available in a 15g size, this gel is formulated with silicone ingredients to effectively manage and diminish scars resulting from surgery, injury, burns, or other skin trauma. The gel creates a protective barrier over the scar, promoting hydration, flattening, and softening of the tissue. Regular use of Kelo-Cote Scar Gel is intended to improve the overall texture and visibility of scars for smoother and more refined skin.

Directions: For best results apply Kelo-cote scar cream twice daily (morning and evening) on clean dry skin for a duration of 60-90 days. Larger and older scars may take longer and continued use is recommended if the improvement is still seen after the initial 90 days. Once dry, Kelo-cote can be covered with pressure garments, sunblock, or cosmetics.
Kelo-cote must not be used on broken skin.

Post laser/ chemical peel: Kelo-cote has become the treatment of choice for post-laser use and is especially effective in the reduction and elimination of erythema (redness) associated with dermatological laser procedures and chemical peels.

Acne scars: Kelo-cote has been used effectively for the treatment of scars resulting from acne and chickenpox. However, Kelo-cote is not indicated for the use of active acne.

After surgery: You can start to apply Kelo-cote after any stitches have been removed and the wound is no longer bleeding.

Infection: If an infection is present, have it treated prior to beginning your Kelo-cote treatment. Do not apply any other product underneath Kelo-cote. Applying medications on top of Kelo-cote will have no effect because, by design, it will not be able to pass through the Kelo-cote membrane.
